Kanani lives near the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii, where the sport of surfing was invented. Kanani loves going to the beach and swimming in the ocean, and she can't wait to learn to surf. But when she starts taking surfing lessons, she discovers that surfing is a lot harder than it looks!Fortunately, when Kanani does fall off her board, she lands in soft, warm ocean water. And of course she always wears a life jacket. Kanani knows that when you fall, it's important to get right back up and try again. Each time she catches a wave, she's a little better at it!
